HOT ! Isadora Maxi Kaftan Dress Natural Indigo

This fanciful all over floral maxi kaftan dress is our all time best selling dress. It is the perfect piece to dress up and wear out, wear to the beach as a cover-up, or just lounge about in it at home!

This unique soft cotton fabric is created through the ancient dabu method of block printing which is very similar to batik. The fabric begins as white, then a patterned block is dipped in mud and stamped onto the fabric. Next the entire piece is dipped in indigo dye and the portions where the mud has been applied resist the color penetration leaving the floral design intact. Pieces are then washed several times to remove excess dyes and mud.

Subtle variations in colour and pattern are to be celebrated as they are evidence of the hand made block printing and dyeing process that makes this dress unique.

This dress is the epitome of classic comfort and is perfect to use spring, summer, and into early fall. It is also available in midi and short lengths.
